Genetic Testing
This multidisciplinary team offers an individualized comprehensive breast cancer risk assessment. This includes individualized options for early cancer detection, increased surveillance, risk reducing medications and preventative surgeries.
Who Is Eligible For Testing
- Individuals or families with a first degree relative of breast and or ovarian cancer.
- Individuals with multiple family members with breast and/or ovarian cancer.
- Individuals with a prior biopsy result of Atypical Ductal Hyperplasia (ADH), Atypical Lobular Hyperplasia (ALH), or Lobular Carcinoma In Situ (LCIS).
- Individuals or families with a known genetic mutation which would predispose or increases their risk of breast cancer.
- Individuals with a history of chest wall radiation.
Program Services:
- State of the art imaging through SJI- mammogram, ultrasounds and MRIs (if indicated)
- Skilled physician assistants and nurse practitioners qualified to provide genetic risk assessment, counseling and testing.

- Board certified surgeons specializing in breast disease
- Consultation with medical oncologist and/or radiation oncologist (if indicated)
- Consultation with board certified plastic surgeons (if indicated)
