BEE Award
The Daisy Award honors nursing colleagues, highlighting the importance of teamwork. Similarly, non-nursing colleagues can receive the BEE Award, which stands for “Being Exceptional Every day.” This award recognizes outstanding patient care and dedication to prioritizing patients.
Nominations for the BEE Award can be made by anyone, including colleagues, patients, and visitors. A recipient will be selected quarterly by the Garden Committee, with both clinical and non-clinical honorees.
Eligible candidates include all hospital employees who support nurses and patients, excluding licensed nurses. Examples of eligible roles are:
– Patient Care Technicians
– Therapists
– Transporters
– Housekeepers
– Dietary staff
– Physicians

The Spirit of St. Joseph’s Health Award
The Spirit of St. Joseph’s Health Award is presented through the VIBE Hive (Valuing Individuals, Building Engagement) membership to honor colleagues who exemplify our values and consistently go above and beyond in service to others.
Anyone is welcome to nominate a St. Joseph’s Health colleague for this award. Nominations may be submitted electronically using the form below, or by completing one of the printed nomination forms available throughout the system. All submissions are reviewed annually by a peer review committee, and the award is presented each year during Health Care Week. Honorees are recognized during the celebration and highlighted on the St. Joseph’s Health employee intranet.

DAISY Award
The DAISY Award is a nationwide program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care given by nurses everyday. St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center is proud to be a DAISY Award Hospital Partner, recognizing one of our nurses with this special honor every month. Employee Service Awards
Every year, the Office of Employee Experience and Human Resources organizes and hosts the Employee Service Awards to recognize milestone years of service. For more information, contact HR at 448-5575. In addition, managers are notified about milestone service marks through a message from HR and given a voucher for a corsage (from the gift shop) for the employee to wear on the day to mark the occasion.
Sister Patricia Ann Awards
St. Joseph’s Sister Patricia Ann Award is given annually to a physician, nurse and an employee, who exemplify the core values of excellence and stewardship. Winners are honored at a ceremony each March. The nursing and employee winners each receive $500 and a plaque. The physician winner will have his/her name engraved on a plaque that is displayed in the physicians’ lounge.
Leadership in Franciscan Tradition
This award ceremony is scheduled during the first week of October to coincide with St. Francis’ Feast Day on October 4. It honors a St. Joseph’s leader who, inspired by the spirit of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi, is an example to all as a servant leader. Healthcare Week
Healthcare Week
A variety of events are planned during Healthcare Week each May to thank and recognize employees and physicians for their hard work each and every day. Some of the activities have included an ice cream social, North side business day and community service team building projects.
Volunteer of the Year
This award is given at the annual luncheon in October.
