Dental Care

Dental Care

Our staff functions as a team to deliver optimum dental care. Dental hygienists and dental residents will provide your dental care under the direction of attending dentists and specialists from the community. Dental assistants and other support staff assist in your dental care.

We encourage you to schedule your dental exams and prophylaxis (prevention and cleaning) appointments twice a year. However, your dentist may advise you to be seen more often.

During one of your routine visits, X-rays will be taken, and a screening of the condition of your gums will be done. The dentist will evaluate your oral health, which will include a head and neck exam. If necessary, you will be scheduled to receive additional treatment.

There may be times when you need treatment elsewhere. You will be referred to another dentist who can provide the type of care you need

  • Pedodontics: dental care for children and patients with special needs

Missed Appointments

Missed appointments are strongly discouraged. If you need to cancel an appointment, please call our scheduling coordinator 24 hours in advance at 315-448-5477.  If you continue to break appointments, we will discontinue services to you. You should notify us of any problems that keep you from your appointment.

How to Pay for Services

The fees charged by the dental office are based on the services provided.  Payment is due at the time of your visit. The office participates in most insurance plans, including Medicaid. If extensive dental work is needed, the dentist will provide you with an estimate.  If you need assistance with payment, a financial counselor will help you.

Emergencies
