Heather Finger, M.D. Joins St. Joseph’s Physicians Family Medicine in Liverpool

SYRACUSE – St. Joseph’s Health welcomes Family Physician, Heather Finger, M.D. to St. Joseph’s Physicians Family Medicine - North Medical Center location in Liverpool. Dr. Finger earned her Doctor of Medicine from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York and completed her residency in Family Practice at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center also in Syracuse.

Prior to joining St. Joseph’s Physicians, Dr. Finger practiced as a family medicine provider in Central Square, New York. She has 11 years practical experience in a rural primary care environment caring for patients from the age of birth to natural death, including the diagnosis, ongoing management, and education of individuals and families regarding disease as well as preventive care.

Dr. Finger’s interests include women’s health the assessment and treatment of cervical dysplasia through colposcopy, and the management of Diabetes Mellitus including insulin pump therapy.

She is experienced in the surveillance and management of low risk obstetrical patients including routine prenatal care, vaginal delivery, and post-partum evaluations.

As Coordinator for NYS Vaccines for Children program, Dr. Finger supervised ordering, safe handling, staff education, and administration of vaccinations. She is Board certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.
