Interventional Radiology

Interventional radiology utilizes fluoroscopic guidance to perform a wide range of invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in state-of-the-art angiography suites. Non-vascular and vascular interventional procedures are performed. The latter includes angiograms, embolizations, angioplasties, stent insertions, fistulograms, AV dialysis shunt and central venous line placements, as well as TIPPS procedures. Radiofrequency tumor ablations are available, as well.

Interventional radiology is a partner in the Vascular Institute, one of the largest vascular diagnostic and treatment programs in the state. In addition to the interventional radiologists, our team includes interventional radiology technologists and radiology nurses. Our interventional radiology program is ranked in the top 25 in the United States and is one of the top five in the Northeast.
